Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serap Evran has become entitled to support within the scope of the 2531 Bilateral Cooperation Program Application with German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) project by TUBİTAK.

 

The project entitled “Food allergen protein sensing with aptamer-based platforms”, which will be carried out in collaboration with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serap Evran in Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science and Ege University, Prof. Wolfgang Fritzsche (Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology )  and Prof. Dr. Azmi Telefoncu (Bio-sensing and Bioinformatics Nanotechnologies R & D Trade & Ind. Ltd. Co.) has become entitled to support within the scope of the 2531 Bilateral Cooperation Program Application with German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) project by TUBİTAK.

 

 

Food allergy is an important problem in the modern world. Labeling of the processed foods against allergen presence is the only way to protect allergic individuals. In this project, we aim to develop DNA aptamer-based biosensors for detection of the food allergen proteins.

 

 

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serap Evran has become entitled to support within the scope of the 2515 – COST project by TUBITAK.

 

The project entitled “Development of specific DNA aptamer for the inhibition of histone deacetylase 10 (HDAC10) activity”, whose coordinator is Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serap Evran in Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Science and Ege University, has become entitled to support within the scope of the 2515 – COST Project by TUBITAK.

 

Main complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in treatment of hematopoietic diseases is graft versus host disease (GVHD). The aim of this project is to develop aptamer-based inhibitor that can specifically inhibit histon deacetylase 10 (HDAC10), which plays role in the mechanism of chronic GVHD.
